Job Opportunities in BMIR

FACULTY POSITIONS

The Stanford Center for Biomedical Informatics Research invites applications for two tenure-line faculty positions in the Department of Medicine at the level of assistant professor or associate professor.

Candidates must have an earned doctoral degree and formal advanced training in biomedical informatics or computer science, and must have excellent teaching abilities. The search committee will favor applications from candidates who have research interests in clinical or translational informatics, and whose work complements existing research in the Center. The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. The successful candidate will conduct a vigorous, independent research program, teach in the classroom, advise students in a graduate program in Biomedical Informatics, and assist in program administration.

Applicants should send a curriculum vitae, a brief statement of their research interests, and the names of three referees to:
Mark A. Musen, M.D., Ph.D.
Professor of Medicine
Chief, Stanford Center for Biomedical Informatics Research
Stanford University School of Medicine
1265 Welch Road, MSOB X215

Applications may also be sent by electronic mail to musen@stanford.edu.
