Shauna is responsible for developing press and marketing materials for all BMIR research projects, and updating related websites.
Shauna Kanel received her BS and MS in Biology, with a concentration in Molecular Genetics, from the University of California, San Diego. The research for her masters project was completed at the Zoological Society of San Diego’s center for Conservation and Research for Endangered Species (CRES).
She has previously worked with the UCSD Director of Science Communications, as well as with Science Editor magazine, the publication for the Council of Science Editors.
